A safe and stable place to live is essential, particularly for those in our community who are experiencing homelessness as a result of mental health issues. Through our independent housing program, individuals are able to access the resources they need to live independently.
The individuals we serve are living with chronic and disabling mental illness, and in most cases qualify as low-income. CASL homes are tailored to support the individual needs of the people we serve.
The living spaces we offer are:
Individual bedrooms in scattered site shared 2-to-4 bedroom home
One- and two-bedroom units in apartment/condos
By sharing a home with peers, we believe individual residents can build a strong social network and, in turn, maximize their independence. CASL homes are integrated in the community, and honor the residents' privacy to reduce stigmas and maximize individual success!
