Chief Operating Officer

CASL is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who understands housing for individuals with disabilities.

 

Job/Task Functions:

The COO serves an executive of CASL and, in partnership with the CEO, is responsible for the success of CASL. Together, the Board, the COO and Executive Director assure CASL’s relevance to the community, the accomplishment of CASL organization’s mission and vision, and the accountability of CASL to its diverse constituents. The CEO delegates responsibility for management and day-to-day operations to the COO and s/he has the authority to carry out these responsibilities, in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board. The COO provides direction and enabling to the staff as it carries out its governance as well as operating functions.

 

Qualifications/Education Requirements: 

As the COO, this individual demonstrates critical competencies in four broad categories: commitment to results, business savvy, leading change, and motivating.

 

Commitment to results: The COO is a systems thinker who is customer focused and goal driven. This individual identifies relevant information and helps transform this information into individual and organizational knowledge and learning. The COO is action oriented and innovative. S/he translates broad goals into achievable steps. S/he anticipates and solves problems and takes advantage of opportunities, is a self-starter and team player.

 

Business savvy: As CASL’s leader, this position requires an individual with knowledge of and experience in management and administration. The position requires demonstrated experience in integrating and coordinating diverse areas of management. Leading change: The COO possesses the skills and implements the functions of a leader. S/he shares CASL’s values, mission and vision. S/he consistently displays integrity, models behavior, develops people, and builds teams. This individual deals effectively with demanding situations and designs and implements interventions.

 

Motivating: The COO manages continuity, change, and transition. This individual knows how to influence and enable others. S/he addresses the impact of attitude and action on CASL and its participants.

Supportive Housing Case Manager

Under the direction of the Case Manager Supervisor, the Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager is responsible for implementing strong, intensive case management for individuals with disabilities who are homeless or at-risk of being homeless.  The Case Manager collaborates with a wide range of service providers with the goal of assisting participants to achieve tenancy stability, increase financial independence, connect to wellness resources, and increase community integration. Supportive services are offered to best meet participant needs specifically in the areas of physical and/or mental health disability, domestic violence, and substance use. The overall goal is to maximize housing stability for the participants and to put measures in place to prevent participants from returning to homelessness. 

Resident Care Attendant

Locations: 

Sarasota County

Limited Mental Health Assisted Living Facility seeking reliable resident care attendants. Main job duties are supervising medications, promoting hygiene, and observation and documentation of behaviors.

 

Shifts available are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm (full-time 5 days per week), 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (full-time 4 days per week) and 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (part-time).

 

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• One year working with adults with sever and persistent mental illness is preferred.

• One year working in a care provider setting is preferred.

• Proficient verbal and written skills.

• Must be able to work with diverse groups and individuals.

• Must successfully complete all criminal background screens.

• Valid Florida driver license and must be able to drive under company insurance policy.

• Must be able to utilize company email and demonstrate proficient computer skills.

• Must be able to utilize electronic health records

• Must complete all required training and keep training current, including CPR, AED, First Aid and Medication Technician.

• Must pass a drug screen and follow drug-free workplace policy
